Moose Jaw after the fire of December 2003

FTLComm - Moose Jaw - Tuesday, February 10, 2004 Images by: R.W. Shire and Candace Shire
Moose Jaw has always been one of the most pleasant and attractive communities in Saskatchewan with a fabulous park in centre of the city and an atmosphere steeped in Saskatchewan history.

In late December a fire began in one of the oldest department stores downtown and in quick time consumed part of a block of one of the most notorious and historical portions of the city.

These pictures taken in January show what is left as clean up and and reconstruction are still projects unlikely to be undertaken until spring.
