The Royal Bank

The Royal Bank

FTLComm - Tisdale - Friday, December 5, 2003

What's this embedded on the Royal Bank's Christmas tree, $1,000,000 bills, we all knew profits were up but this is a surprise.

The Royal has its "share bear" programme this year and has created a delightful Christmas display in the bank. (bottom)

There was a tradition in our family when I was a kid that I did not repeat with my own sons.

One Christmas my grandmother gave me as a Christmas gift a modest savings bank in the bank in Wawota. In other years she did the same with my brother and my sister. It was a great idea and in a time when a savings accord actual produced some savings it was a good way of getting in the habit of using the bank to manage one's finances. Wouldn't be a bad idea today.
