FTLComm - Tisdale - June 5, 2000 |
Tisdale is a small compact town less than a mile long and perhaps three quarters of a mile wide. The whole East side of the town is home to a wandering little creek called the Doghide that slips under the highway on the South side and then makes its way under the railway, by the golf course and cross the highway on the town's North side. The park area along it has bicycle trails and walkways and offers a dramatic alternative to the flat land that surrounds us. The Doghide is a gem and the rich shrub and trees along the little valley it forms are a wonder and delight to all. The picture at the top of this page looks South West from the Kinsmen ball park and the picture on the right shows the view toward TMSS and if you look close the two white triangles in the tree are lost kites. Below is a view looking over the creek below and over the top of the shrubs and trees that populate the area surrounding the creek. At last the leaves are fillinga out and make this scene interesting and a sharp contrasting one within the town. |
