Tisdale: Just after 11:00 this morning the hot dogs were coming off the grill and supporters of all ages were gobbling them up as KidSports and their sponsors, primarily ScotiaBank who manned the booth and match the money raised carried off another successful fund raiser for Tisdale kids.

Tisdale: Here is one of the most modern and creative looking bird houses seen. Colonies of purple martins live here cleaning up the neighbourhood of all sorts of insects including mosquitoes.

Tisdale: Manufactured from 1953 until replaced by the 172 in 1956 the "B" version of the 170 is a remarkable aircraft and there are probable close to 3,000 of them still flightworthy.

Keystone SD: The motor home tour continues from North Dakota to South Dakota, the mechanical problems are sorted out and the sight seeing is going along just fine. Good pictures to keep us involved in the trip.

Tisdale: So far there are holes in the ground for sixteen housing starts. Due to construction schedules and methods some of these jump ahead of others. The eleventh start is on Forester Drive and is on a foam form concrete basement.

Crooked River: Here on the edge of the boreal forest we have the opportunity to see a lot of unusual birds but also a wide variety of common ones. Sparrows seem to be everywhere but there are large number of different sparrows and today Helen shows us the interesting Fox sparrow.

Tisdale: Its been almost a month since the flower pots came out and onto main street in Tisdale. Would you believe there are 50 of them? Today we consider their addition to the atmosphere downtown and we pay a pictorial visit to where those flowers came from.

Tisdale: Forester drive is the scene of lot by lot construction six houses on the go. Number twelve got its basement on May 31 but it wasn't until this week that the forms were assembled and the cement will be poured tomorrow. This is a Duesener Homes Inc. project, the second for them this year.

Niagara Falls: Last weekend after the Taliban staged a daring raid releasing up to 1,000 Afghan held prisoners the Afghan president threatened to invade Pakistan. Canadian Defence minister Peter MacKay said there was a need for diplomatic solution.

Niagara Falls: This topic has been mentioned as a possible cause of the 9/11 attack, that the US was pushing Afghanistan on building a pipeline and that triggered the attack. Now it is confirmed the war in Afghanistan is to secure the South of the country so it will be safe to build and operate a pipeline over the territory. Canada is now engaged in a commercial war. How do you like that?

Tisdale: The owner of this new house has opted for a house without a basement and a wood foundation was placed on the cement footings and the structure is now getting its floor installed.

Niagara Falls: We have now discovered that the Canadian government was and is very much aware of the Afghan pipeline. Our problem is a serious one, are the Canadians dying and being maimed in this conflict on the other side of the planet making this sacrifice for American oil interests or the global energy interests of India and Pakistan?

Tisdale: Today is graduation day in Tisdale as we have reached the end of the school there have been and will be graduations all over Saskatchewan and there will be the usual cliches and speeches compliments of achievement and above all a feeling of expectation. I haven't a single doubt that this year's crop will not be up to the challenges facing them but what we all have to understand its not up to them, we are all in this together.
