Tisdale:A full block of water main is about to be replaced as Tisdale attempts to reduce the number of water breaks by removing cast iron lines and replacing them with plastic. At the present rate this process is expected to take decades to finish the task.

Saskatchewan Parks:After a month of tearing around Saskatchewan it looks like the Crawfords are at home for awhile and we are glad to get a report of their visites to various regional and provincial parks.

- House twelve arrives in Tisdale

Tisdale:The basement for the twelth housing start in Tisdale this year was begun on July 21 followed by the construction of a wood basement. A house was moved onto the site on Friday August 6. The basement has not been backfilled and work will continue to finish off the basement.

Tisdale:Scheduled to open at the end of the month the new motel/hotel had its new staff report to work on Monday of the this week and today the process of moving beds and fridges into the rooms was begun. More furniture will arrive each day while finishing work continues on the building and its large parking lot to the south of the building.

Tisdale:One of the big block buster movies of 2010 is not scheduled to be released until mid December but already Tron Legacy is developing a lot of hype and interest. It stars Jeff Bridges, Olivia Wilde, Garret Hedlund and Michael Sheen. Tisdale's Holly Raczynski performs the stunts in the movie for Olivia Wilde the former star in the TV show House.

Tisdale:Few Canadians who know where their ancestors came from can condone the behaviour of the federal government. One minister tells us we need more prisons in this country because of "unreported crime" and another tells us that nearly 500 migrant refugees are criminals and possible terrorists. We deserve better from elected officials.

Tisdale:Canola crops are uneven and short compared with other years but the time has come to harvest what crop there is in the field. Several fields in the immediate Tisdale area were being swathed this afternoon.

Tisdale:Tisdale's newest house is located a block west of main street and is a ready to move (RTM) house that has been moved onto a foam form concrete basement that was poured on August 12.
