Niagara Falls, Ontario: Locked into the war in Afghanistan Canada is obliged to toe the line as directed by the United States. Though combat is supposed to be under NATO control the United States makes no bones about calling the shots and the direction the conflict is now headed is into the tribal area of Pakistan.

Hanley: The Federal Government is determined to destroy the Canadian Wheat Board and in its latest move it is rigging the election of directors of the board. Friends of the CWB have brought a lawsuit against the government as it is violating the Wheat Board Act.
