Tisdale: Saturday morning the local Kinsmen and Kinettes club with the help of their sponsors put on a pancake breakfast at the RECPlex to add to the money they have raised this year for the annual television weekend charity fund raiser.

Tisdale: In the winter the frozen roads permit the heavy trucks to move gravel for stockpiles but in the spring, summer and fall the weight restrictions limit loads in order to preserve to roads themselves. Saskatchewan badly needs to upgrade its rural road system.

Grand Prairie, Alberta:The Harper government will not give up on trying to damage the Canadian Wheat Board even in their attacks cost Western Canadian Farmers millions. The Board has a fund to back up market declines and had to dip into this fund and that has prompted the minister in charge to call for an audit, despite a 2001 audit that established outstanding financial handling by the Board.

Tisdale: With world wide unemployment rising and the markets in shambles it is important to shake ones head and look at the horizon and think just what are we about. Saskatchewan depends for its wealth on mining, oil production, potash, forestry and agriculture. Here in this part of the province agriculturre is the thing and we must not forget that, but its time to get ready for another crop year.

Tisdale: It has been tough for both Strive Concrete and now Farber Construction to get this project going. Cold temperatures have interrupted the work but the walls on a new duplex condo on 95th street are going up.

Tisdale: Every year the town clears the ditches and drainage runoff waterways in and around the town. Despite the really cold weather this week the work has been carried out using the blower.
