The vestiges of TUCs are slow to disappear as the foundation remains an eyesore on the clear green field. Yesterday Chupa Excavation was dispatched to the field to remove the goal posts.

Goal posts are not major items but they are definitely symbolic of the glories and defeats of the past. Taking them out and moving them to the new field is a surprise as one would have anticipated
the installation of modern
off-set single pole goal posts that are much safer and would look smart on the new field.

However, soccer is a major sport at TMSS and soccer goals are extremely expensive (more than $6,000) so it was decided to remove these venerable markers and put them on the new TMSS field to do
double duty for the years to
come.

Removing these old goals turned out to be a much more difficult task than it would seem. They were position in cement and showed little enthusiam for being removed. The back hoe had to be used to dig out around them and as the day ended they were removed.

Wednesday night is football night and the team began to take to the field, looked at the missing West post and were disheartened and the evening's game and practice was cancelled.
