Boreal Owl

This little guy was found not far from the dwellings in our yard.  My brother-in-law discovered him just sitting in the trees doing what owls do best in the daytime. Lorna McEwan (we have enlarged the image so that you can see the features of this rather rare bird. He is actually only about six inches tall.)
