Despite this being a poor picture I just have to share the moment with you as the dreary Sunday rain fell two special visitors dropped in to discuss the affairs of spruce trees. The muted colouration of the female makes her hard to pick out in the picture but just over an inch above and to the left of the male she is perched on a bowe. The American Goldfinch has to be one of the most colourful birds to favour us with their company.
