FTLComm - Yorkton - July 2, 1998 The amazing search for the past continuous relentlessly. These pictures were taken at a truck stop at Yorkton, as we can see, a three aging trucks and a Hudson Hornet on a semi headed East. The tools of the present rapidly become the collectors items of the future. These rare vehicles, clearly in outstanding condition, represent a whole era that has disappeared, all but for a few preserved in some museums. Yet, in this writer's lifetime, these vehicles were operational whne he was a teenager, in small town Saskatchewan, filling up the centre fuel tank on a model A was not a novelty, yet few such vehicles are licensed today. If you are on the road this summer East of Saskatchewan on #1 see the car collection at Elkhorn Manitoba. |
