With the plan to give some rides to people, the Sasktel crew began setting up the balloon at 7:30 Saturday morning (July 12) but the morning brought higher then expected winds and the morning flights were scrubbed. But at 5:30 in the afternoon, though the winds was still a factor, the team got the balloon inflated and the breeze settled down affording a large number of people to enjoy a tethered ride over the TUCs football field. Then when all had their ride, the tethers were released and the calling card sailed off for a short flight. | |
