The Vancouver International Motorcycle Show

I went to the Vancouver International Motorcycle Show this weekend and got my mid-winter motorcyle fix. Although I spend quality time with the LowRider in the basement, it is nice to get out and experience a few new things and feast on eye candy.

The trip was well worth it as the pictures tell the tale. My favourite this year was the Suzuki Hayabusa 1300. This is a rocket and would fit my desire to expand my motoring experience. 300 km/hr should fill my 'need for speed'.

One addition I didn't expect was the presence of the Merch Motorcyle. Now Merch has made motors for some time. They are based in Red Deer, and their 120 cu in is what I may get for the LowRider somewhere down the road. But this is the first time I have seen a Merch Bike. The Merch Performace group, the motor people, didn't really know or are affiliated with the Merch bike people. I thought that a little odd.

The Bonneville was kinda neat as this was the first bike I every rode. And it still looks very similar to that late 60's model I got hooked on so long ago.
