With two successive days with temperatures hovering around the freezing mark the sun has set to work getting rid of the snow. From Crooked River to Melfort the fields have very little snow on them and bright sunlight easily penetrates the transparent ice and temperatures rise above freezing reducing the cover of snow. The scene above is on the South side of highway 3 East of Edersley and the picture below shows the same phenomena looking North of the highway midway between Edersley and Crooked River. Fortunately we are due for some precipitation to cover these fields up once again.
