First Housing Start in 2002

Yesterday afternoon you can see Chupa Excavation putting the first basement in the new culdesac in the new subdivision on the North end of New Market Rd. Back hoe, bobcat and loader all at work as this new house will be the first housing start in the the calendar year 2002. The last two houses built last fall are almost complete and both are on the market for sale. We hope to have a new housing inventory for you in about three weeks time but a quick glance around town tells me that the housing market is becoming tight from the fifty houses available in the fall most of them have been sold. This is the first of two houses slated for immediate construction and we will keep you posted as each one develops, much as we have in the past four years. It seems that Tisdale sees between ten and twenty new dwellings each year and it will be interesting to see how we fair this year.
