The first pictures we have of this project were a couple of days after the inital work began but on Friday, September 25th this new house had its basement dug, the footings poured and the gravel fill in place. This project followed a popular trend this year and foam forms were used to pour cement rather then the usual treated wood basement.
The foam forms were delivered on Wednesday, Ocober 30 but the difficult weather situation delayed the assembly and pouring of the basement.
From these pictures you can see the hostile weather conditions and the very muddy situation that the workers had to contend with.
On Friday, October 29th with the floor complete the three man crew began assembling the walls and as of today most of the walls both interior and exterior are in place so that by this weekend this house will have a roof in place as you can see the rafters all stacked up ready for installation.
Forrester Crescent now only has about six remaining empty lots three of which are corner lots. Unfortunately the arrival of winter and the very late start by the paving crew will not see the new portion of Forrester paved until next year or perhaps even later.
