First In 2000

FTLComm - Tisdale - May 10, 2000
We have been keeping a sharp eye open to see if they construction wave that began two years ago is continuing in Tisdale and today we can report that work has begun on a lot beside the new home that was built, beginning last fall across from Art's Auto Body on the North East side of town. This lot has been cleared and today there was a surveyor on hand stacking the property.

The town of Tisdale has gone to considerable expense developing the extension to NewMarket Drive with fully serviced lots and underground services all installed as well lots on the former elementary school yard that is now the Heath district office are ready for new homes.
The Tisdale School Division's
tender for the TUCs field that is now vacant ends today with part of that field being town property and the remaining available for development as the School Division wants to divest itself of this property. The foundation and footings to the old high school are still in place as the clean up of the area was not completed this past fall and early winter when the contractor got around to knocking the building down and hauling it to the dump.

This smoldering mess is the landfill sight as it looked this morning with remnants of the old school still turning to air pollution
