Thousands at spring auction sale

FTLComm - Tisdale - Tuesday, April 13, 2004
It was around eleven when I made my way over to Schapansky's Auction lot to see how things were going and what I discovered was they were doing just fine without me. Now I have no way of knowing, only what you see in these pictures but the crowd was enormous with four or five sales going on at the same time and as you can see in the pictures there are actually two trucks working in the same aisle with auctioneers selling heavy machinery on both sides of row at the same time.

With most schools closed this week there were lots of young people and families along and everyone had to be dressed for winter because the temperature was barely above freezing.

I saw hat emblems from Preeceville and Quill Lake as it was clear by the fleet of pickup trucks that people had come from all across Saskatchewan to this sale.

As lunch time was coming on the huge shed was filled with people getting their lunch from one of the several booths. Chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, coffee and a pie heaven.

This is truly one of the largest such sales in Tisdale's history. To see the pictures below just click on them for the full ten inch size images.
