Curves

FTLComm - Tisdale - Wednesday, January 11, 2006

Owner Donna Dancey is proud of Tisdale's newest business which openned Monday. With over 9,000 outlets in the United States and Canada Curves is one of the fastest growing franchise in the business world of today. The concept began in Houston Texas where Gary Heavin put together the remarkable need for people of all ages to curb their weight with a

programme of light, three times a week exercise and a modified version of the low carbohydate Atkins diet.

We all know, perhaps all to well the enormous need in our society today to come to terms with what we eat, what we do and what those two things do to our bodies.

Curves is a women's programme which requires a membership and a monthly participation fee that gives the participant

But when you consider the fatal nature of being fat you realise that any problems might be worth dealing with when your life is at stake.

Curves does sell some supliments but membership and monthly fees are the main story and the Tisdale Curves has a $69 membership fee about one third the regular rate of similar outlets in the States

This new business will have a staff of eleven and is located in the former Inchworm building (306 873-4388).

Below is a picture of the truck that came all the way from Texas to deliver the equipment for this new business.
