Well, all in all, this isn't a bad prize, two couples could have a pleasant time spend a little time driving or flying down there and for the cost of the trip have a vacation in a great place without having to pay for a lot of hotel rooms.

Now Antonio was just great on the phone and gave me my reservation number and then I was put on hold waiting to talk to someone in "shipping" who would be sending out the package of information. About eight minutes or so of hold time, just long enough for my supper to geta little cold. Twice Antonio came on the line apologising for the delay then at last a wonderful woman came on the line with one of those syrupy drawls from a Tennessee Williams novel and she checked off the wonders of my prize vacation and after setting up tentative dates she told me how this prize was only going to cost me $398 US on my MasterCard or VISA. With the Canadian dollar now taking the form of a bottom feeder that amounts to $606 Canadian. Add to that a flight to Florida and a car rental things could add up considerably to the point that such a prize would easily cost a family several thousand dollars. The Southern Belle was astonished that I was turning down this fabulous 70% discount offer and was willing to take $300 US down payment.

This promotion scam has been going on for a long time and lots of people could easily see this as a neat and cost reducing way to make a trip to Florida. To me it seems like Florida must be a pretty lousey place if it has to resort to this kind of promotion to get folks to come there. Even the wording has a rather cheating form to it, do you know anyone who stays in a hotel in a vacation spot during the day, yet the prize is five days and four nights in Orlando and four days and five nights in Daytona Beach. But heah, maybe you already are planning a trip to the sunny South my reservation number is completely transferable and it is 4078315539.
