Robin's Donuts opens

FTLComm - Tisdale - Friday, October 13, 2006

The place was jammed late afternoon when we dropped by Tisdale's newest business. Donuts, muffins and coffee are the sort of thing we associate with a donut shop but this is a big spacious restaurant with far more than the coffee trade in mind.

The luncheon section includes a menu for soups, subs and sandwiches which should fill a need in Tisdale for a quick bite on the run. Having an alternative to Subway is a big plus for me because since their spring promo with fake hard to read coupons I have not been a customer.

But, the real plus to Tisdale is at the end of the counter (above). That's the pizza area. Though several Tisdale businesses produce pizza this market will get a real boost from the Robin's Donut pizza counter. The menu is huge and the new business has the state of the art equipment that can crank our pizza after pizza with outstanding quality and dramatic speed.

One custmer was enjoying her two slices of a fresh pizza and I asked her how it was. She gave me a big grin said it was pretty good and there was no doubt a regular customer had just been made.
