Today was the grand opening of Discount Furniture Warehouse on the southern outskirts of Tisdale. Myrna Thomas and Amber Wilkie are the folks behind the name and have filled the new facility with a full range of furniture and appliances.

The large warehouse type building is perfect for this kind of furniture with floor heating it is comfortable and spacious.

Tisdale was in need of another furniture outlet with Vachon's Furniture about to close the community would have been left with just the

one outlet, Martin's downtown. Everyone knows that when you are looking for a piece or a whole range of furniture it is so important to have some choices and be able to compare quality and value to suit the needs of your home.

There was a steady flow of customers this afternoon when I stopped in sampled a cup of free grand opening coffee as people both checked out the new business and many were doing some serious shopping as there were sold signs on several items as customers have found what they were looking for.
