Christmas lights / first look

FTLComm - Tisdale - Sunday, December 8, 2002

Each year we have photographed each year's display of Christmas lights and this is our first look at just a few seen last night.

The park is now lit and the first two pictures show the decorations each sponsored by a business or organisation. The most spectacular sight last night was the crescent moon just over the Southern horizon.

Most of the homes in Tisdale have their lights up but many have not turned them on for the season. We only picked out a few to show you but as we drove around it was surprising to see home many living rooms have their Christmas trees already up and decorated.

With Christmas still weeks away I really wonder what has happened to the nature of Christmas or are we just into a "holiday" season?

The picture above is a truly loaded trailer in Wicks trailer park with the deck and dwelling completely illuminated.

This last picture which got blurred in the exposure a bit is unique because it involved two families who live in a duplex and each year work together to make a really charming display.

In our family the outdoor lights and Christmas tree will not come on until a few days before Christmas.
