On Sunday, July 6, Rev. Sharon Ferguson-Hood begins her career in in Tisdale St. Paul's United Church. Originally from Saskatoon she has served for the past three years in Swift Current, two years in Vernon and seven years on the Queen Charlotte Islands known now as Haida Gwali. Besides her work as a United Church minister she has had some remarkable experiences in Nepal and has made her mark in various communities providing a clear voice for women's issues.
This is an excellent opportunity for Tisdale to have a person with her achievements and determination to share in the growth of this community.
St. Paul's is inviting the community to come and meet their new minister on Sunday for her first worship service here at 11:00 AM and following the service there is a pot luck lunch and a time for fellowship.
