FTLComm - Tisdale - October 14, 1998
The thanksgiving snowfall of 98 left close to a foot of snow over much of Saskatchewan. In Regina the wet snow clung to the tree limbs causing enormous destruction throughout the city but for the rest of the province the wet snow, though inconvenient was welcomed just for being wet. The later part of the summer was so dry and this load of moisture will melt and soak in gradually. In Prince Albert the Provincial soccer championships were interrupted with the solid moisture and it appears that TMSS sports programme is going to need the TUCs field this week and prudently they are clearing the field of the snow to speed up the drying process so that games of soccer and football can be played.
