November Employees of the Month

FTLComm - Tisdale
November 29, 1999

Garry Pierce and Sheryl Janzen have been recognised for their outstanding achievement with the design and construction of this year's haunted castle at Beeland Coop.

Sheryl started with the Beeland Coop on July 15 of

1987 in the grocery department as a clerk cashier. She has had several different responsibilities throughout her career and that has included working closely and being responsible for the Beeland Coop's computer assisted shelf managment system. After a short period working in the bakery she has now returned to the grocery department. Sheryl commented that she enjoys the flexibility of her job now as she experiences a variety of tasks backing up the cashiers, working with the computer system and giving an extra hand with customers. When her picture was being taken she made the photographer wait a minute as she gave a mother with an infant at the checkout counter a hand and settled down a tired baby.

Garry Pierce began work with Beeland Coop on October 14 of 1985 as a produce clerk. In 1991 he was promoted to produce supervisor and then in 1997 assistant grocery manager. Garry continues to working in the grocery department today as senior grocery clerk. Deeply involved in the community Garry never misses a Trojan game and as a loyal support of the organisation is always on hand to do his part with supporting the club and working on promotions.
