Connecting the Enronized Dots:
Bush's business with the Saudis and the 9-11 attacks

"When the truth is buried underground it grows, it chokes, it gathers such an explosive force that on the day it bursts out, it blows up everything."

Emile Zola, French author and newspaper writer, 1840-1902

An understanding is developing that prior to the 9-11 attacks, Enron Corporation was contracting the building of a pipeline with the Taliban. The pipeline would have been built with the help of the Bin Laden construction group of Saudi Arabia and this pipeline, if realized, would have allowed Enron to extricate itself from the brink of bankruptcy. The story goes that in July 2001 the negotiations to build the pipeline failed and the Taliban were promised a carpet of bombs rather than a carpet of gold. Further, another story speculates that Al Qaeda became aware of the failure of these negotiations and as a consequence they launched the 9-11 attacks as a pre-emptive strike to the expected bombing of Afghanistan by the Americans.

Saudi
Arabia

Now we must understand that fifteen of the nineteen hijackers who participated to the 9-11 attacks were Saudi nationals, yet it is embarrassing to notice that Saudi Arabia, while assisting both the rise of power of the Taliban in Afghanistan and the Palestinian suicide bombings in Israel, has been treated all along as a loyal and friendly country by the Bush administration.

plutocracy

We also understand that the fusion of money and government have made the United States a plutocracy, that is a corporate oligarchy for the greedy rich. We also know that Saudi Arabia is an absolute monarchy. As a consequence, we must understand that the friendship between the Bush family and the Saudi extended royal family is based on their business relationships. And in fact, both President Bush and Vice-President Dick Cheney have deep interests in the oil and military business of Saudi Arabia. It is ironic that on September 11, while the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were being attacked, the Carlyle Group, a military business partnered by Bush's father, was holding its annual investor conference with the participation of Shafig Bin Laden, brother of Osama Bin Laden.
