North Newmarket development Tisdale - Thursday, May 23, 2013 by:Timothy W. Shire
Over the past two summers work has progressed with the development of a new residential area on the east side of the very north end of Newmarket. Water, sewer, electrical infrastructure have been installed and now the first new house is under construction and its time to develop the street. The first part of that process was to lay in the street east from Newmarket and pack it down. This week the attention has been turned to Newmarket itself. Surprisingly the engineers have lowered the roadway and it has had the soft unsuitable material for street making removed and gravel packed into the new street.
In these pictures you can see that one of Tisdale’s contractor’s equipment is involved in this project. Chupa Excavating and Trucking has been adding to its fleet by replacing some of the older Mac trucks with new versions and the addition of this Cat truck being used here to move fill around. From the look of this project it appears that the Town of Tisdale has decided to do this project right to reduce future maintenance costs as the water and sewer system installed last year is really extensive and includes some complex planning with storm sewers and the handling of rainfall and spring run off.
