Sneaking Under

FTLComm - Tisdale - Wednesday, October 1, 2003

This intersection began leaking pretty badly early last winter. It was possible to close off the line under the main street and delay repairs until summer.

The town crew has had a pretty busy summer so it was not until this week that they were able to get around to make the repairs needed to this line that is leaking somewhere under the main street which is the heavily travelled highway #35.

To avoid creating a fifteen foot speed bump a special service company from Saskatoon came to town and drilled a new line under the street avoiding the need for excavation. The old leaking cast line has been abandoned and a new line drilled in beside it. The project was sealed up today.
