The meat cutting and processing business that once was in this location has been closed for some years and the building had gone to the town for taxes. After several delays it was decided to preserve the cinder block portion of the building with the hope that it can be sold but the old wood structure was taken down and hauled away Thursday. The towns back hoe is chewing away at the flooding basement removing concrete and rubble that will make this land usable.
The picture below is really only one back hoe working seen from two different angels and the two images blended to give you the view of what was taking place.
