After taking the old signs on each approach to town, down earlier this week it is time for the town crew to erect the new signs. This is the scene out at the airport this morning as the equipment was brought to the site and work began in earnest to erect new sturdy signs to welcome visitors to the community. The wind loading of signs of this nature is extreme so the structure to hold the sign has to be overbuilt and heavy duty as the West wind has a nice direct shot at this site.
