"There you go, digging big holes in the ground again!" "Have to, you can't dig in the air, have to dig in the ground" Thursday morning the town crew set to work replacing a piece of water line that had been leaking near Carriere's shop. In order to do the work they had to shut down the line and discovered that the shut off valve was faulty and so it had to be replaced as well. This picture was taken before twelve and both jobs were finished. The preparation for winter is important as much of the work that goes on through the summer is so that huge holes do not have to be created when there is snow on the ground. This has been a very busy but successful summer season for the Town crew as they have completed their objectives and then some adding in projects like reclaiming the former GT Mechanical site and having to cope with unexpected line collapes down town.
