This War

Timothy--our experiences throughout our life has an impact on how we view this invasion.

Your bully story hit me in my soul. My son, who turned 21 two days ago, was a victim of bullying in grade 3. He was close to suicide--at eight years old. I have to say that it was not just the children who were bullying him, the principal of the school was also guilty in this act. I removed my son from the school and homeschooled him for three years. I am proud to say that today he is asecond year Computer programming student at the University of Ottawa, and a person who uses his brain to solve problems, not his fists.

Too bad the US did not learn from their experiences in life and learn to respect others.

Now, on to this illegal war.

How thin is the veneer between civilization and barbarianism. We (the US and the coalition) have proven that the barbarian in our psyche has won.

Anyone who thinks should be able to see the escalation in the propaganda used to justify this war. From Weapons of Mass Destruction, to regime change, to Hussein was responsible for 9/11, to introduction of democracy--what a farce. The inspectors found no Weapons of Mass Destruction in the short time they were allowed to inspect; Iraq is a sovereign nation--no one has the right to involve themselves in their internal affairs; even the Central Intelligence Agency found no connection to 9/11 and Hussein; and democracy at the barrel of a gun is anathema to democracy.

I fear for the safety of all the world if this war is not stopped. By our silence we condone these actions.

The area involved in this war is known as the Cradle of Civilization. I fear that it will become the grave also.

This is an interesting site my daughter sent me--thought you might find it interesting.
