Why I'm not voting Conservative

I live in the United States, where the actions and words of the right-wing conservative government have brought entirely new meanings to the words ethics and democracy. What is it when a word comes to represent the opposite of its original meaning? It is frightening for me to imagine the possibility of such a party gaining power in Canada, especially since I have plans to live there again.

My concern is that articles such as this one (David Orchards, Why I'm not voting Conservative) need to reach a greater number of people. The problem is often that those who know enough to read such articles well understand the content before reading it, while those who need to learn about it, will gain what they think they need to know by watching 'debates' on television or some other such useful device.

Perhaps images of schools closed beside new army bases, pollution hanging over major Canadian cities, US flags on bags of Canadian wheat, or Canadian dollars flying like geese over the US border would help to make a point. Something must be done! !

I don't know of a means for doing such, but wish that someone who does might take some action. Thanks for publishing the article here. I wish it could go into every newspaper in Canada.
