Speculation regarding Charter challenge confirmed

Niagara Falls, Ontario - Thursday, August 7, 2003 - by: Joe Hueglin

On the weekend, speculation that

"it can be anticipated that with polygamy accepted by 500 000 Canadian Moslems and practised by a Mormon sect in British Columbia (6) a Charter challenge to "union of two persons to the exclusion of all others" will take place"
  was about to take place.

An article that appeared in the Globe and Mail yesterday validates this thought is in the mind of an MOHAMED ELMASRY national president of the Canadian Islamic Congress.
