In saying "terrorists will not succeed in destroying "our values and our way of life" the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom ignores reality. Our values and our way of life have altered already. Biometric border and immigration systems and fliers being pre-vetted are incipient. Neither have been part of our value system nor prior to September 11, 2001 would have been acceptable in our way of life. What must be addressed is to what greater extent reshaping is in the process of taking place.
The "Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America Report to Leaders June 2005 "has attracted limited media and consequently very limited public attention. As a result the nature of the innovations to be introduced harmonizing Canadian activities with those of the United States to combat the perceived threat of terrorism are known to very few.
