Honey Bee Family Music and Dance Camps |
FTLComm - Tisdale - Wednesday, April 9, 2003
With spring settling in its definitely time to consider the approach of summer and of the things that kids do each summer, summer camp is way up there on the list of lifetime experiences. Now most summer camps are church camps with lots of sports and group living that almost everyone has experienced but four of Tisdale's music teachers have come up with something absolutely unique at least for this part of the country.
The HoneyBee Music Camp will offer music experience with piano, guitar, violin, fiddle, voice, flute, dance and recorder lessons. Participants will have the chance to get into music, both serious and otherwise with classes in theory as well as skills. |
The camp will be located at the farm of one of the teachers six miles north of Tisdale on highway 35. This rural setting will lend itself to a camping outdoor experience as well as accomodate day campers and a special weekend camp. |
Rebecca Hankins-Vopni, Shannon Andrews, Alicia Vopni and Tanis Lindsay will provide instruction for this unique project which is going to need lots of support from the community and its organisations as they will have to develop facilities and get the needed support equipment to make this a musical adventure. |
The camp is scheduled for later in the summer beginning on July 27 and running to August 2 with the special weekend camp on August first and second. |
The music is Chopin's Polonaise, the Militia |
