Relay for Life today

One thing about Tisdale that must never be forgotten, the tradition of Saskatchewan people pitching in and working together for a cause is the rule rather than the exception here. This morning I was amazed to see the size of the volunteer and paid workers on the field getting things ready for the event this afternoon and through tonight. More than sixty people were about their business, setting up tents, marking the field, arranging the locations for the various teams who will participate and making sure that everything needed for a successful event will be on hand from washrooms to food and shelter. Last night's rain left about three quarters of an inch of water on the ground and much of the field actually had hidden puddles in the grass. but the warmth of the day which got up into the mid 20sº will produce perfect conditions on the field tonight. A string of entertainment will be on hand throughout the night with singing dancing and some great activites for all members of a family. The barecue is $3.00 and we will be there and have some pictures tomorrow to show for it. While the relay and entertainment is in progress there is a Kaiser tournament, hat parade, some games.
