Le Festival du Voyageur

FTLComm - St. Boniface, Manitoba - Wednesday, February 18, 2004 by: Cassandra Shire
Over the weekend we had the opportunity to visit Le Festival du Voyageur in St. Boniface.

A large part of the festival that most people enjoy (and enjoy with out even attending the event is snow sculptures .

It was a great chance to get out and enjoy the cold weather and to enjoy some French culture. There is music, food and lessons that go on at the main festival site - also there are several spots around town where people can go during the evening and enjoy music.

A day pass is $12/adult you get admission to the main site, five different trading posts (areas for different music - both English and French). A 10-day pass is $22/adult and it includes admission any day to the main site as well as admission to any of the other facilities (I believe that there are five to eight of them and each night they have different entertainment - a real value!)

The Festival continues through to February 22 with more sculptures added each day.
