Afternoon ladies

FTLComm - Tisdale - Tuesday, January 14, 2003

One gentleman sat by himself at a table in Wolfer's finishing a cup of coffee and smoking while nine ladies and a man sat at a couple of tables pulled together at 2:00 this afternoon.

Oblivious to the chill outside with a West wind cutting through the -23ºC air outside they were wrapped in the conversation and stories that chuckled around their table.

Though we so often either as part of such and exchange or when observing it consider the words spoken and the thoughts expressed as important, such a gather is far far more than that. The simplicity of acceptance, the charm of being able to enjoy the moment without some feeling of need to contribute verbally, but just being able to sit and enjoy the company of friends is a marvelous thing.
