FTLComm - Tisdale - April 28, 2002 Images by: Judy Shire

Every person who lives on the flatland is a member of the flat earth society, oh not the one that still believes the world is flat but we all subscribe the the inspiration of living on the edge of a planet with only a few trees around us and an endless sky above.

Yesterday morning Judy clicked these images of the stark emptiness of the open countryside as you look with her in the picture at the top of the page South with the dormant Tisdale Alfalfa Dehydration plant as the only bump on the mono dimensional landscape to the West of and South of Tisdale.

The Tisdale cemetery is one of those treed relief from the flat and as she came to the scene it was the breakfast nook for twenty five or so thrushes (robins). Standing around the brown grass picking up the morsels that start their day and many singing at the top of the tiny little lungs.

This afternoon the East wind fulfilled its morning promise bringing true thermal clouds over the town and right now (4:45) the street is wet from a hint of a light shower.
