The green Qu' Appelle valley

FTLComm - Tisdale - Thursday, July 19, 2007

Almost from the Alberta border to Manitoba there is the great valley that runs east and west across the province. South of elbow the Qu' Appelle connects with the South Saskatchewan River valley and neatly divides the province north to south.

These pictures were taken yesterday as we drove south on highway 9 which is about an hour west of the Manitoba border.

The plentiful amount of moisture available in the summer of 2007 has really made this valley as pretty as it has been in many many years.

As we moved south of the valley yesterday we encountered what so often is the case an entirely different weather system than north of the valley.
