Carrot River - Monday, March 3, 2003 - by: Kevin McIntyre | |||||||
Here in the North East we find ourselves with a fairly normal snow cover. On Tuesday we had business in Prince Albert and along the highway there wasn't much variation. Thursday and Friday saw us in Saskatoon and once past Melfort the scenery was much different. From Melfort on stubble was very evident through the snow and from Alvena to Aberdeen it |

wasn't hard at all to see black dirt straining against the white. Around Saskatoon itself the story was better. My father always said the biggest storm he ever saw was the last day of March. The largest I've seen was in the closing days of the third month too. Unless we see the same this year, those boys will be seeding before they know it. ("I know I shouldn't taken that left in Albuquerque......" Below: As seen in Saskatoon Thursday, a Celica with California tags.) |
