Premier Calvert Visits Tisdale

Premier Calvert Visits Tisdale

FTLComm - Tisdale - Thursday, August 7, 2003

Each summer the Premier of Saskatchewan makes a bus tour of the province visiting as many communities as possible in an effort to listen to the concerns people have and keep in touch with developments in the province. Today the tour visits Tisdale and Nipawin.

I caught up with the
premier and Eric Cline as they finished having coffee with the crew at the South plant

of
Northern Steel Industries. The premier and his party were pleased with the opportunity to visit with the workers in this important industrial setting.

From Northern Steel the group went on to visit Nuform Packaging, the Tisdale Dehydration plant and had lunch at the Co-op where the plan was to get some time to visit with some Tisdale citizens.

Sorry if I missed mentioning other members of the group but
Joanne Crofford may have been part of the tour.
