These pictures were taken by R. W. Shire (Bert) on Tuesday, September 15th. It was just was just one of those days that almost begged you to go for a walk and so Mr. Shire made his way to the Wascana park in front of Saskatchewan's Legislative grounds and captured these scenes that beautiful afternoon.

Most flowers beds had done rather poorly through the cool summer and all had been late in getting started. We had been in the park in late July and the floral display that is so much a part of the legislative grounds were not looking all that impressive. But there was warm weather in September and the show took off as you can see in these pictures.
