This is cleanup week in Tisdale

FTLComm - Tisdale - Monday, October 15, 2007

All over town folks have been filling bags with fallen leaves and the bags are piling up in the back alleys. This week the town will be taking care of the bags and will handle the tree trimmings as well provided they have been bucked up into two foot pieces to make handling easier.

In their note in the water bill they tell us that waste furniture and old appliances are the owners responsibility.

Most of the leaves are on the ground altough there are still some hanging on until the snow flies and if you look back in years past that usually is this week or at the latest next week when we should see a dusting of the white stuff. Tisdale farmers have finished up harvest for this year but there are still areas east of Porcupine where there are a lot of Canola fields still awaiting combining.
