The trees hung back well into September before they began their switch to fall colours and though there was from frost damage in some areas Tisdale was a pure celebration. These pictures were taken a week ago today on September 23 and not only were the colours warm and wonderful we actually had some of the best weather of the summer of 2014 during this week.

Though spring is exciting and summer comforting fall is the queen of the seasons. The bugs have mostly ended their bloodthirstiness and even the grass has less enthusiasm. It is time to celebrate and reflect on what has been and the winter that will woon come.

Its time to take the license off the motorhome and ease it into the back yard, its time to contemplate the upsetting news of the world and it is also time to look for some good things to enjoy.
Speaking of good things. In the world according to Timothy, I think it would be no surprise at all for Canada's self serving Prime Minister to head over to see the Governor General's office and launch a fall election for mid November. It would make good sense, the Duffy affair in April will be brutal and as you have noticed the Prime Minister and the other two party leaders are not in the House of Commons but are on the road campaigning full time.
An election would definitely be a thing to celebrate, for it is long past time that our country should return to democratic government, where the rule of law is respected. I am not known for being a forgiving person and I think for the many of you who voted for the prime minister's party, you must fully share the shame he has brought, not only on the country, but on all of its institutions. It is time for he and the mindless parrots who follow him, to take their secrets, their "no comment" attitude and celebrate winter at home where they will do much less harm.

Below is a short video shot by Andrew Shire on the Assiniboia River south west of Winnipeg on Saturday, September 27. You will notice that the colours are a bit faded but the waters are calm.
