Tisdale Farmer's Market going strong

FTLComm - Tisdale - Tuesday, July 19, 2005

The summer and early fall weekly farmer's market is a solid tradition in Tisdale as shoppers take advantage of outstanding value and the local producers have an opportunity to market their good directly.

For many years the market made its home on the lot now occupied by the new town square and for a few muddy weeks this summer it was located on the lot just north of Bow Mar Sales. But it has settled in to the comfortable location on the former Hannigan's parking lot with its dry surface and readily available to the public.

From flowers to fruit and vegitables the market has a wide selection each week of outstanding quality goods. Baking, bison meat, mutton and lamb are all available at the market

Vendors come from Melfort, Carrot River, Star City, Naicam and from the immediate Tisdale area to provide their customers with a weekly offering of fresh products.

This year is a special year for fresh vegitables as the gardens in this area of Saskatchewan are the best ever and if you make your way out to the market next Tuesday you are sure to find the highest quality and prices that will surprise you.
