Porcupine Plain Dealt Body Blow
Porcupine Plain - July 22, 2000 - By: Gerald Crawford
The Town of Porcupine Plain was dealt a body blow Friday July 21. Sometime in the small hours, a fire started in one of two large buildings, demolishing them. One was known as Marie's, and had been a bakery, cafe, and amusement arcade. It had been closed for a month or so. The other housed Debbie Johnson's cafe and catering. The hotel on the south side was scorched, and two upper windows were broken. The accounting office on the north side appeared untouched. No word of any injuries.
