Ensign this week
Tisdale - Wednesday, July 10, 2013
by:Timothy W. Shire

Well, I hope that you've been enjoying your summer as much as my wife and I have. So far it's been a very good summer.

We left said Tisdale on May 30 with the motorhome, spent about a week here in Saskatchewan and then took in a few stops in North Dakota and over to Minnesota then to Manitoba.and back home. It seems like a bit of a trip, but it actually was only about 2100 miles. During our trip we had pretty good weather and really enjoy taking time in each of the campground stops were we spent several days. We didn't just travel travel travel, but we would spend almost a week in a couple of locations.

Oddly enough, we encountered few other Canadians, even though we were traveling close to the Canadian border.

Tomorrow we are setting off on yet another jaunt, this one, were not really sure how long we will be away, perhaps only a week. We're staying right here in Saskatchewan going to Saskatoon to be at a family event but because of time constraints, I don't have time to put together full stories for this week's issue of Ensign.

My injuries are healing up remarkably well but my hands don't do a good job of typing at this point and I'm actually dictating this story using built-in software in my computer. Though this technology has made huge advances from back in 1995 when I first used it, it still has a ways to go. One of its shortcomings is that it does not recognise the word "Saskatchewan" instead it typed "scotch one."

I look forward to seeing how the crops are between here and Saskatoon tomorrow, and if I can get time next week, I'll post some stories and pictures on next week's edition of Ensign. But in the meantime, enjoy yourselves, have a great weekend and we will talk to you later.
